The past weekend was one of much-needed relaxation, continual spiritual refreshment, and overall fun. Friday and Saturday, Mrs. Stelzer taught at two ladies' conferences, with Carolyn translating to Spanish, while Dr. Stelzer preached at a conference on Biblical separation. Saturday, the team participated in a youth outreach filled with fun and games, with the day's ministry to the youth ending with Mr. Panecatl preaching at the rally.
Sunday was a day of both ministry and fellowship. After Dr. Stelzer preached at Primera Iglesia Bautista del Salvador, the church had a special fellowship meal for the entire team, sharing their incredible plans for the church in the future. In the evening, the team split in three directions, ministering to three different churches. The heart of the ministry in Peru is the many good churches that are proclaiming the Gospel. It was a privilege for our team to be a part of God's work through these churches.
Monday opened many new doors of opportunity. The team began a three-day ESL ministry in Colegio San Andres, the same school as the previous fifth and sixth graders. These next three days, we will be assisting the high schoolers in their English and have an opportunity to share the truths of the Gospel. In the morning, Dr. Stelzer and Mr. Panecatl spoke at a pastors' fellowship with pastors from the mountains. It was a great time of encouraging these faithful men in the ministry. In the evening, the entire team sang at Iglesia Bautista de Fe. Dr. Stelzer, with Mr. Panecatl translating, began a two-day family conference.
Continue to pray for our health and energy, as we minister and serve to the dear folks here in Peru. With a great start to the week, we are very encouraged to continue serving the Lord.
