Wednesday the team taught their last day at San Andres. We showed the Next Step PCC video to the high school students and they had an assembly for us at the end of the day, presenting us all with small gifts. We hope that our impact will last for time and eternity. Wednesday morning and evening, Dr. Stelzer taught a two-day conference at a seminary in the morning, with Nelson Santos translating, on the topic of ethics for the twenty-first century (the Ten Commandments). In the evening, the whole team sang for an evening conference, with Dr. Stelzer preaching the same messages from the seminary.
On Thursday, the team traveled to four different churches. The team was able to hear from the pastors, including about what they do, their testimonies, and seeing the churches firsthand. Before leaving each church, some students prayed for the pastors and their churches and thanked the Lord for their willing hearts. The experience was very eye-opening, seeing the struggles that the pastors have, yet encouraging to see their faithfulness to their ministries. In the afternoon, the group enjoyed shopping at the Inca Market, where we were able to get souvenirs and gifts for ourselves and family members back home.
Today, the team prepared for the weekend camp ministry, Camp Xtreme, with students from many of the schools and churches in the Lima area. Our team will serve as counselors, playing games with the students, sharing the Gospel with each of them, performing skits, and giving informal times of encouragement.
Continue to pray for us as we hope to have an incredible impact on the students, as well as safe traveling and good health.
